  • Provide opportunities for a wide variety of artists to create site-specific dance pieces;
  • Commission new dance works;
  • Support young and emerging artists to help them find their artistic voices and foster their development;
  • Present Dusk Dances to a large audience in Toronto;
  • Build bridges between Canadian dance artists and audiences of all ages, across Canada.

In 30 seasons, Dusk Dances has presented 122 events with over 558 performances in 29 different parks; presented over 228 dance works; produced 35 youth commissions, involving over 350 young artists. Dusk Dances performs to an average of 7,000 people each summer and works with 250 volunteers each year.
