Performances & Schedule
Every evening from Sunday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 10th, 2025
4:00pm-5:00pm - Volunteers begin arriving (depending on role)
5:00pm-7:00pm - Prepare for the evening's festival
7:00pm-7:30pm - Free dance workshop begins
7:30pm-9:15pm - Main Dusk Dances performances begin. See our season for more info.
9:15pm-10:00pm - Clean up & tear down for the night.

Types of Volunteers
Dusk Dances has 3 main types of volunteer opportunities. See below for some examples of tasks for each type:
- Production volunteers: work behind the scenes, setting up and dismantling tents, chairs, banners, signs, and props. They oversee dance sites, dressing rooms, and other backstage areas during performances.
- Front of House: are the festival’s welcoming presence, interacting directly with the audience. They greet attendees, provide information, offer directions, handle transactions, and sometimes sell popcorn. Most move around with the audience, while some are stationed at information tables. They also assist Production Volunteers in packing up at the end of the event.
- Floater volunteers: fill in wherever needed during performances, assisting with setup, interacting with the audience, providing information, selling items like popcorn, and supporting backstage operations when needed.
